ILWMSpringfield Transportation Facebook group : Join the closed FB group to post requests or offers for carpools or to offer spots on other private bus charters. This is a great way to connect with others directly on how you will get to Springfield.
RallyBus has been used very successfully for other marches. It is ‘crowdsource’ for busing. You register for your desired route, and so do others. You don’t pay until the bus is confirmed, when enough folks have registered for that route.
If you are arranging transport for an organization or have a large party we encourage you to charter your own bus, using RallyBus or a private bus company. For a private bus company please consider True North Travel Solutions (312-698-8991).
If you have arranged a private bus for a group and you have extra seats you can offer to individuals – please post to our Illinois Women March on Springfield Facebook – Transportation page to seek extra riders.
Other options to get to Springfield are being posted on ILWMSpringfield Transportation Facebook group. Join that group – it is a good way to connect with others to arrange pooled transportation. There are buses being organized by Democratic Party of Oak Park and also Center on Halsted.
If you are having trouble navigating your options you can inquire here about a spot on a private group bus charter to Springfield. If there is sufficient interest we can help you form a group and identify a group lead to arrange the private charter. Filling out the Bus Inquiry does not guarantee bus transport. Bus Inquiry
